Dear Colleagues,It is my pleasure to invite you to The 3rd National Congress of Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology and Symposium on "Frontal Lobe Functions and Beyond in Psychiatry," which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey between March 12 and 15, 2009. The theme of the congress will be: "From Childhood to Elderly: Treatment Resistance and Its Management."
In this congress, the most recent developments in psychopharmacology will be presented by prominent national and international experts in the form of the state-of-the-art plenary lectures, symposia, meet the expert sessions and satellite symposia. The high-quality scientific programme of the congress will open new perspectives on the science of psychopharmacology and on issues related to treatment resistance and management.
The scientific programme will take place as three parallel sessions and two diffirent tracks. In the educational update tract, prominent experts in the field will be giving plenary talks on the most recent developments in neuroscience, and in the treatment track, practical problems and solutions on clinical case basis will be discussed.
As part of our tradition, the best three posters in this meeting will be awarded with the Research Encouragement Award. Turkish Association for Psychopharmacology will honor investigator and one researcher with the Young Investigator Award and Career Development Award. The Bulletin of Clinical Psychopharmacology journal will also present the awards to the authors of the best manuscripts published in 17th and 18th volumes of the journal.
Posters submitted for this year's congress will be published in a special issue of the Bulletin of Clinical Psychopharmacology.
Attending to this meeting will also be an opportunity for you to experience the fascinating Istanbul, the bridge between Europe and Asia with her amazing historical background.
